Private classes

Course participant with sewing machine

My private classes are designed to teach experienced sewers advanced skills, and are often focused on a particular skill like working with a specific type of fabric, sewing a particular type of clothing (wedding dresses), or completing complex alterations.

My private classes are sometimes used by employers to upskill their employees and broaden the availability of skills in their business. If you are an employer looking to have one or more team members training in a particular discipline, feel free to contact me via Messenger.

Individuals wanting to undertake private classes can choose from a wide range of projects, each designed to provide guidance and skills training in a particular area.

How are classes completed?

My private classes are booked in 3-week blocks, with a 2-hour session each week for 3 weeks. I have multiple session options available throughout the week which means you can pick a day or evening spot that suits you. If you can’t make it to a particular session, I can usually reschedule to a different day that week, but I ask that you give 24 hours notice should this be necessary.

What is included?

All fabric, patterns, accessories and decorative elements, and equipment is included. For each project I have a range of styles and patterns to choose from. For private classes you are likely to undertake more complex projects that focus on developing a particular skill; you may be asked to bring particular fabrics or patterns if there is something you would like to do.

Participants can use my on-site sewing machines, or can bring their own if they want to learn to use the machine they have at home or work.

How do I book?

You can use the form at the end of this page to send me a message, and I’ll reply by email. Private classes vary from person to person so there isn’t a set schedule. But I’m confident we can find an option that suits you.
